PC -Find content faster with search improvements! Xbox - New UI features. Would give this 0 stars for the xbox version. Force close every 60 seconds, wth! Used to be able to fast forward thru commercials now you cant. On demand is very inconsistent. Randomly stops and restarts shows. Cant find shows unless you search for them. Searching is very inconvenient. Randomly freezes and goes black in between shows, happens pretty much every day multiple times.
Sometimes slow to respond when browsing through channels. Programming isn't the greatest, which isn't the worst thing since tv is primarily background noise, but there are times when I do actually want to watch something and I cant find anything good on. Most of the time it works well though I have experienced buffering and lagging at times. The selection of channels is good and download sling app for windows rounded for my needs.
I have not really tried the on demand and find that some locations work worse depending on the connection speed. I use it with my download sling app for windows and cell phone tethered and find that setup problematic.
Overall I find it a great alternative. Local station in your area not included. Can't view some channels. Sport channels are horrible Buffering is horrible. Love the app!! My only complaint is not getting my local stations. Audio and video issues are still not fixed. No sound, no picture, buffering I don't have any of these issues with other streaming services. The Sling platform is simply not reliable. And it's not really "a la carte" because the base packages still include channels I never watch so why should I have to pay for them?
